Ohio Helping You Save Your Dream (or avoid your nightmare)

Are you in foreclosure in and live in Ohio?  Have you gotten to your wits end with your lender and desperately want to and need to keep your home?

Governor Ted Strickland created Save The Dream Ohio to be a resource to Ohio residents who are facing problems with their mortgage.  This fantastic resource includes plenty of helpful information worth your reading as well as a hotline you can call and get referral to a local HUD approved counseling agency.

Don't give up hope. You need to get out and take some action. Whether you give me a call at 216-324-6637 or give Save The Dream A Call at 888-404-4674 or you read over the Save The Dream website. Take action. Arm your self with information and recruit an advocate.

This site includes resources for Homeowners needing help, renters who are facing the squeeze from foreclosure, counseling agencies and even leaders who are looking for a help to assist in community recovery.

They have an online workshop that you can go to here.  They also have a very helpful pdf workbook that you can download and print out.  This is worth much more than it’s free cost.  Topics include:

  • Coping with Tough Financial Times
  • Your Money
  • Your Mortgage
  • Your Options
  • Scams, Scams, Scams
  • Recovering From Foreclosure

In addition to all this help there is important information on:

  • foreclosure mediation by county (hint- it allows you to pause foreclosure while your an actual decision maker at your lender is forced to sit belly to belly with you and work things out),
  • What To Do If You Have Lost Your Job
  • Learn about resources that are available to unemployed homeowners.
  • Payment Reduction Estimator
  • Modification Estimator
  • Loan Look-Up to see if your loan is a Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac loan and you qualify for a Home Affordable Refinance.

Also the following is an example of live foreclosure prevention, foreclosure help events that are available to you when you go to the Save The Dream Website.
