The Senate today approved giving more time to those who otherwise qualified to take advantage of the tax credit. This is a tremendous relief for many home buyers who got their offer in by the April 30th deadline but then were delayed in closing by circumstances out of their control.
We had several deals facing this predicament and by shear will (and a little bit of providence) we were able to move massive title barriers and all sorts of drama to close one of the short sale deals. Another one of our jeopardized deals was badly vandalized Bank of America / Fannie Mae has let the accepted short sale languish as we try to find a solution. So yea for a little extra time!
