An old way of stopping foreclosure makes a comeback!

When times get hard people tighten their belts and look for alternative ways to make a little extra cash. People in foreclosure haven’t lost their homes yet, so a few of them are playing inn keeper by renting out rooms in their home to help make ends meet. The San Francisco Chronicle wrote an article on website called airbnb.com is like the ebay.com or zillow.com of private Bed and Breakfasts.  Apparently it has played a role in bringing income to folks on the brink of losing their home.

One home owner was able to convert her large home into a bed and breakfast and use the site to book more than $4500 in overnight stays per month.

The owner of airbnb.com claims to have received more than 300 emails from people who were on the brink of losing their homes but were apparently helped to save their home by income using this method.

If you are in foreclosure and in North Eastern Ohio… you are in luck!!!  Airbnb.com has 10 listings in this area already and you could be the 11th!

Turning my home into a bed and breakfast isn’t the first option that I would pursue to save my home from foreclosure, but desperate times call for desperate measures. I’ve certainly heard story’s of this happening through out the years.

Certainly it beat’s some other other creative alternatives that I don’t want to think of.
